There are several ways you can volunteer or donate to the FAC, including participation in various internships, through volunteer programs for homicide survivors, as well as monetary contributions and material donations.

Annual Events

The Phoenix Family Advocacy has hosted an annual fund raising event for the past nine years. The annual event, CHAIRity, raises funds that are used to support victims of domestic and sexual violence.

The 9th Annual CHAIRity event, which was coordinated through the efforts of the FAC Fundraising Committee chaired by Councilwoman Peggy Neely, was held on November 19, 2008 at the Phoenix Art Museum.

“I was treated with the utmost respect and dignity by the FAC…”

As in years past, the event theme was “Sit a Moment, Stop the Violence”. The 2008 event was attended by 300 residents, students, community leaders, advocates and city staff.  ASU interior design students created 11 pieces of chair art, which were sold during live and silent auctions at the event.  CHAIRity 2008 raised a total of $34,700, including $8,775 from the live auction of the student chair art.  All proceeds will be used to benefit the FAC’s programs and services, including support groups, counseling, financial assistance, food vouchers and transportation assistance for FAC clients.
