Children's Advocacy Center

Southern AZ Family Advocacy Center logoOur promise is to ensure the support of child victims, to heal the wounds of abuse, and to seek justice with compassion and consideration. The additional goal is to stop the cycle of child abuse through education and protection.

"The children are stronger now, and I feel positive about all who have had contact with my family during this time."

In a child-friendly setting, the Southern Arizona Children's Advocacy Center provides an array of investigative and advocacy services to child victims of abuse and their non-offending family members. Expert medical evaluations, video-taped forensic interviews, crisis intervention and case coordination are all provided in one place.

The Southern Arizona Children's Advocacy Center includes a prevention education component - Keeping Kids Safe. Through this program, school-aged children and their parents and teachers are taught how to keep kids safe from abuse. Adult professionals are taught how and why to report suspicions of child maltreatment. Each year, more than 10,000 children and their parents/caregivers participate in this prevention education program.

Our Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner loves being able to say to a child "You are healthy and nothing is broken."

The Southern Arizona CAC is in constant need of hospitality volunteers and fundraising/special project volunteers.  The Clothing Donation Project offers easy capability to donate gently used clothing/household goods. Monetary and in-kind donations are also graciously accepted.

Annual Events

Each April, to recognize Child Abuse Prevention Month and to celebrate the children in our community, the Southern Arizona Children's Advocacy Center hosts a charitable bowling tournament.  This event is an opportunity for children, families, and community friends and partners to enjoy a fun day and raise funds for the Children's Advocacy Center.
